I have my chimneys swept once a year and have detectors fitted in kitchen where I have a woodburner also in the front room open fire and now in the bedroom a lot of trouble but cannot be beaten, love my fires so cosy. I have a narrow boat that also has a woodburner which keeps the boat very cosy that is also done in the shabby chic style and i love it more than my house.:rolleyes:0

Well I've decided on my not very ambitious first project. Im an avid scrap booker, and have been after a recipie book to write my recipies down in for ages, so decided to make it something I can display in my shabby chic kitchen. Heres some examples of what I mean, but with diff paper etc...

I was tempted but I'm going away and it wouldn't be easy for me to arrange pick up of something so big either, but would love to see someone here get their hands on it and then see an after picProud to be dealing with my debts Sealed pot challenge 180 £2 coins £184 2008 £1 a day challenge£100+ Nectar 4809/Boots 1724 Focus for 2008 Clear £1777.00 CC, [strike]£1000 [/strike]overdraft Holiday [strike]£525[/strike]:j CC recovery£976 NO SMOKING WK7 £2100 -
Hi everyone, been really busy today & not had time to read your posts but hope you've all had a good day, will catch up with them tomorrow
Have a photo for you all, hope it counts as shabby chic, it does have roses in lol, I wish I could join in with all the wonderful furniture painting thats happening but its hard to collect anything off freecycle, charity shops or ebay with no car. I hope you don't mind me hanging around as I really enjoy seeing what you're all doing
Anyway heres the photo & vintage pleasure, I saw your post on the other pic (thanks!) & I would love to send you one of the bowls to complete your collection, just pm me if you would like it

jamtart, I have always wanted to have a go at scrapbooking, the recipe book, etc on your links are gorgeous! Good luck with your project too0 -
Sweetpea what a fab collection you have. We got a set of the Tempo pyrex as a wedding present in 1974. I still have the large platter which only gets used for the turkey at Christmas !Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0
