Oh they are lovely pictures and it gives you inspiration. The trouble with me is, I love looking at the inspiration and I seem to never get down to doing it. I have a bedroom desperately in need of doing, but I can never decide what I want in it, everything I look at is lovely.
  • they are all lovely.. and just adding to my quandry of should i take my top kitchen cupboards down and replace with shelves or go for glass front cabinets!??!!!!

Hasn't someone made an index for this thread ? Sorry can't remember who it was though !

That was me :o and the index is here:

I'm wondering if Jo (Triage999) would be happy to copy and paste it onto the first post, making it easier to find?
......But the only downside would be that it would be her job to keep it updated?

I've tried to add links as the thread has moved on but I'm sure I've missed some, so please let me know if there are any you notice not on there.

Thank goodness cat64 - I thought it was just me. Not only that but I've also found when I'm watching tv I just keep looking at the background to see what furniture, curtains etc there is.

I now look at my whole house with different eyes and rather than be filled with horror at how it looks I can actually see the potential:j

The down-side is that I'm at work and have spent far longer than I should on this thread, freecycle and ebay;)

does anyone watch 60 minute makeover and gasp at the amount of money they spend!! Generally its something like 15k/25k!! It just amazes me that they can spend that much money on 3 rooms to have something like the look that we all get for a fraction of the price!

I always think that the houses on 60 minute makeover end up looking the same.. the living room always ends up with a big bold wallpaper on one wall, a corner couch or a leather suite, a big flat screen tv etc, etc..

Much nicer our individual shabby chicness.
