I have been "collecting" all the shabby chic links that have been posted on this thread and adding them to my bookmarks (along with some others I've discovered). So I thought it would be useful to list them here in a sort of "mega index".

Went to a charity shop today but saw nothing for me.
Saw various Pyrex bits - alas no snowflakes, though.
Had a tea set with yellow roses, saw a red rose platter and also a sort of geometric patterned gravy boat.
Was going to take some pics on my 'phone to post here in case any of you wanted them but the lady was near me so I didn't like to.
Maybe next time if anyone is interested...

After someone on here (sorry I can't remeber who) recommended a book called "Sew Pretty Homestlye" I ordered it from my local library. I have just got back in from collecting it and it looks FAB. Can't wait to make up a shopping list and start some of the projects. So now I'm off for a cuppa and TRY to decide where to start!
Went round my local charity shops while in town but nowt there today. Never mind.

Sweetpea03, was it you that was after the pyrex in blue with snowflakes on it?
Hi vivw, yes it was but I don't know if anyone else is looking too (apart from vintagepleasure :D) as I still haven't read through all the thread! :o I'm still looking for the blue snowflake pyrex, I did find a lobster design pyrex bowl today though & my boys think its very funny :D

vintagepleasure, thank you for the swap offer, I will send a pm to you this evening (just about to organise dinner) but only if its something small & that you really don't want to keep yourself as everything is so beautiful in your house. I only paid 50p for the bowl! so don't mind sending it anyway :)

jamtart, do you have one of those die cutting machines that cut the different shapes out? I would have great fun with one of those but the last time I looked they were a bit expensive.

clutterfree, Sorry you didn't find anything today :( I would've been embarrassed to take a picture too! Hopefully the coast will be clear one day, I have the rose platter but not sure about the others, thanks so much for looking though :)

I do! It is however actually a pain in the neck to get all the stuff out and cut it into the right shapes, so I actually buy them mainly on ebay (all the dies cost £5-15 so if you want lots of shapes can be costly) I would probably sell mine now but they don't sell for much so might as well keep it. You can pick 'em up on ebay for about £20-30 now (machine) they used to retail at well over £100.

Anyone know how much is costs to get a sewing machine MOT'd ?

does anyone watch 60 minute makeover and gasp at the amount of money they spend!! Generally its something like 15k/25k!! It just amazes me that they can spend that much money on 3 rooms to have something like the look that we all get for a fraction of the price!

We couldn't paint and paper as badly as that lot do no matter how hard we tried.
If they crossed my threshold I'd be taking them to court for misrepresentation.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

As soon as it is up and running, don't forget to post a linky :D

I love reading all your blogs, over the past few years I have started several blogs myself - all of them dissapeared into the great WWW as I am just far too lazy to keep one up!! Well done to all of you who do!
