Well this is the dresser I picked up from freecycle last week - it was stained a dark, almost ebony colour and I've spent the weekend "doing".....what do you think???

I'm quite pleased with it :D (ignore the miss mash of stuff on there - just to show size etc.)

  • The dresser is beautiful Pooky. x
  • I've been out beachcombing this week and came home yesterday with an amazing piece of twisted driftwood which I'm going to make into a bathroom shelf - it's about 6 feet long and flattish on top so I think it'll look pretty good when it's dried out.

pooky - thats really lovely. I really must sort through my paint pots. I've some stencils as well, art nouveau and wildflowers.............got a little cupboard with a draw in much need of something doing to it.

Called into a shop in town today that does all sorts of 'shabby chic' stuff and shaker style bits. Looking around at the prices I could have fallen over...................lol

  • Pooky that is absolutely gorgeous. I love the colour. I bet that would cost a fortune to buy one exactly like that. Well done.
