How about decanting it into an empty handwash bottle ? Or standing it in a pot/vase ?
Hmmm - I will take a look and see what I have. Seems such a little thing, but it would be good to do something with it. I like the idea of popping it in a vase. Thank you!

AnneGeddes: thanks - that sounds rather nice.
Welcome piratess: I'm sure you'll get lots of good suggestions here. And I'm really bad at visualising, but this thread has certainly helped. Just wanted to say hi! I do like people popping their heads up. :T

Csarina, that bag is gorgeous, you're very clever!
Still plodding away painting my dresser, just wondering when I do eventually finish it whether I should put a coat of matt varnish on over the paint, or should it be durable enough without? Things do tend to get knocked around a bit here! Or is there anything else you can do to it?AMAZON SELLERS CLUB MEMBER 0082 :hello:0 -
Our furniture tends to get 'well used' -for want of a better description.......lol It's not so bad where we've got old pine furniture.........it lends itself to a bit of wear and tear but when I've painted things in the past rather than see the paint get chipped off by one of the boys we have I 'distress' it in the first place and instead of having a smooth finish, it gets sanded back here and there then some wax polish put on and buffed up once its hardened.
Depends on your taste really..............I quite like stuff that looks as if its had a bit of wear and tear but its not every ones cup of tea.Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Somewhere in this thread we have spoken about the enamel housekeeper boxes. I have been keeping an eye on these at BHS as they have a cream range and a pastel pink range. Well, popped in today and the entire pink range is all half price!! They are not the best quality but I just love them. They have white writing on the side saying 'housekeepers box' and pastel green, cream and purple hearts around the top and bottom - it has the removable top tray too. I also got the 'dishwash' one for my detergent tablets. The h'/k box was reduced to £11 from £22, the dishwash was £6 from £12. Also had a peg tub, a laundry basket (really wanted it but nowhere to put it) and flower water jug.Boots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000

Kisto, you clever thing. That looks absolutely fantastic, and it really goes well with your wall canvas (lovely to see it in situ!).
Gosh, I'm going to have to speed up and produce something else - you've got me thinking on a few things to revamp around our house, and itching to do something. Still halfway thru the sewing box, though.
Love the shop, Lindens.
Just a thought this morning - was trying to fight my usual losing battle with cleaning my kitchen. Just a little thing, but do any of you decant your washing up liquid? The bottle just looks so ugly. Any good suggestions for a shabby chic approach?0 -
