"Modern emulsion"
When usage demands complete washability and stain resistance, water based Modern Emulsion is the perfect alternative to Estate® Emulsion. With a slightly increased sheen level, this wall and ceiling paint is ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and areas of high usage. Modern Emulsion is amongst the most environmentally friendly paints available.- Available in all colours.
- Preparation use Water Primer & Undercoat or Stabilising Primer.
- Environmentally friendly with low VOCs.
- 10% sheen level.
- Completely washable.

Does the sheen element not take away from the lovely matt chalkiness of the finish? you will have to mention F&B to answer this I'm afraid!
Also, congratulations on your lovely news. oops better not eh:o0 -

don't know as I've never used it....always stuck to the estate emulsion and wiped it down or painted over any marks....gives me an excuse to buy more!!! See now I've broken my silence its F&B Anonymous for me there's no other choice:rotfl: :rotfl: .simplicity is key0 -
Just use them for ideas and then find cheaper alternatives;)
thats what i am going to do....i will prob just sit tight and see what comes in the ragbags in work....as to be honest i am trying to use as much second hand stuff as pos...for a few reasons.. the recycling side of it.. the unique things you can get and do with them plus the main one is COST....
i am going to try and do a spread sheet later...and write down how much things are costing room by room....
we bought the house 14 years ago and didnt live in it for 6 months due to having new floors etc... soon as we moved in that was it.. nothing else done except the odd lick of paint just to freshen things up..
even though we did do major work before we moved in even 14 years ago we needed a new roof, new windows,, and the outhouse type thing attached to the house all needed re-placing... re- rendering etc now things seriously need doing as it is effecting the inside of the house... slates lose and missing.. wooden windows soo rotten that there are big holes and the glass has dropped slightly..etc...
so want to spruce up the palce have a total de-clutter and sell as much as poss so that money then can go towards the repairs.. plus to be honest i am not the best cleaner in the world and now things have got out of control... so a mega blitz is in order...so then i can ask people in to give me quotes for the jobs that need doing...
and also i know this is going to sound stupid, but i have never really liked this house, only bougth it as there were only a few neighbours and we could not afford what we really wanted.... now after 14 years i have come to terms with i am never going to have the type of place i want... so better start loving this one..
back on topic.....lol....i am also looking on the laura ashley sit as well for inspiration.. as i need new wallpaper for the bathroom... as that is now totally shabby..not chic... my bathroom is half tongue and grove wood ( bottom part) with floral paper on the top, but it is now peeling away. and the cats have tried removing it:eek:
once i do the bathroom then the cats will have to go out them.. cant leave my heart rule my head.... i am sooo scared that they will get run over...Work to live= not live to work0 -
