nomoney i think if you shifted your bookcase you could fit a lovely dresser in that alcove!! either way im sure we could squeeze one in somewhere (when i went to pick mine up he had 2 other too - different ones without the glass doors etc) :)

  • Please could anyone advise on a white paint colour to go over magnolia. In true OS I am keeping the present paper on (soft gold) the one wall as it still looks good.I know there are different whites in the Farrow & Ball collection or Dulux but I need help. I don't mind paying a bit more as I have saved a fortune by cleaning the soft furnishings myself and resisted any new purchases.I thought a white would be a change?

    Hi Juliettet,

As maypole has said the experts in the shabby chic thread should be able to help so I'll add your post onto that thread.

Nomoney said she wanted a dresser but also said she had no room for one!
So I said repeat that you have no room for one and hopefully that will make her feel better.

I tried the once paints and found i had to do 2 coats so i stay away from those now as its sometimes cheaper to go for a better paint than twice the amount of once! :rotfl:

I would recommend dulux White Cotton in rich matt or Regency White by 1829 (craig & rose) both are not stalk white and are more of a warmer shade :)
