  • Here are my Tea Chests of Freecycle that I am going to pick up :)

The lady was kind enough to send me a pic

The size is just perfect for me to make little stools out of! I am going to pad the top and add some nice fabric and then just varnish the outer layers as I kinda like the text on them :)

They look absolutely solid and strong, they will make lovely stools. Can't wait to see them finished.

Hi all, have'nt been on for a day or so and just had loads of pages to catch up on!!!!
triage...cant wait to see those tea-chests!

Went in to my local TKs yesterday and they had loads of le creseut (sp?) in all "shabby" colours pinks, blues etc. I also picked a Cath Kidston book for 1/2 price!

The tea chests are lovely - they remind me of a show once where people had made blinds for their conservatory from printed hessian sacks - they looked amazing!

  • Anyone noticed whether TXMaxx has any shallow casseroles

(the pans with lids that you can use on the hob/oven) They are usually £85ish my local kitchen shop has them on sale for £65 but if I could get them much cheaper it would be worth a trip to Preston. Don't care what colour..Thanks

I did not see any yesterday, they had the giant casserole pots that are shaped, utensil holders, big jug, ramekins both round and heart shape, mini casserole dishes with lids again round and heart shaped, and various square roasting dishes. The colours were pink, white, light green and aubergine.

I am off to the local antiques and flea market this morning that is held on a Thursday, I have not been for a long while so I am going to see what they have :)

And as for the Cath Kidston book, Skint_spice got one too the other day, which one is it?? I did have a look yesterday but did not find any :(

Our Aldi has (non le crueset) ones in at the mo. I think they had them in volcanic orange or blue and they were £14.99 I think. Looked identical to the le crueset. ;)

    well im absolutley gutted !!!!!!!!!!

by the time i got in from work at 7.. sorted out the baby and everything. it was 7.40..and the bidding for the dresser had finished so i missed out..
i was going to come in at the very last second and put a bid in..
it only went for £10.50... im fuming at myself.. cant believe i missed it

Then it wasn't meant to be! You will find one, freecycle or car boot or try local free paper ads. Your dresser is out there. ;)
