We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

I know its smashing isn't it? Am keeping my eye on it but have no idea how I'd persuade OH we need it.

By the way has anyone any ideas how to make office type filing cabinets look attractive in any way. We have 2 that we need to keep but I wish I could change their look

vivw - I've got a two drawer metal filing cabinet I got from argos some years back and painted it copper/brass colour Hammerite smooth finish paint.. Few fridge magnets on it with favourit mottos, small quilted mat on the top with photo of grandson and it looks a treat.

Depends really on whether its a wooden one or metal but you could run riot with decoupage on either.

I'm assumung that they are metal? If you are lucky enough to have wooden ones them I doubt you'd want to change them!!
It depends what room they have to go in? You could try getting some vintage or vintage looking luggage labels, fruit labels or wine labels maybe and sticking them about.
I personally would pick out a few colours and spray paint each drawer a different colour then maybe rub back a little to dstress them. You could even add a timber top and some castor wheels?
I've also seen them stripped back to bare metal and they look very striking.Almost industrial which can work well with shabby chic.Just a little modern twist.

    Hi Natlou
Wher abouts in North Yorkshire are you????? I live in the Southern Dales between Settle & Ingelton.....Are you Dales side or Moors side cause if your Dales side there's lots of F&B stockists...did you do a search on the site you'll be suprised how many places come up. Rx

Ps lets have some photos your projects sound very interesting:cool:

I am in Filey on the East coast - I never thought about checking the website but I will now!
