They are both metal and are both quite tall as they are 3 drawer ones. They are in the conservatory. I'd rather like them to blend in rather than be a statement if you know what I mean.

charley sorry you missed out on the dresser. I notice that you live in Cheshire. Do you get the Buy Sell ? Could you look in there for one ? I know you would have to pay more than £10.50 but maybe still get a bargain and local so less petrol costs . Just a thought.

  • It doesn't help this time, but what about using Auction Sniper next time? You can set it up days in advance and then it automatically puts a bid in for you at the very last second, even if your computer's turned off. You get a couple of free 'snipes' when you sign up and then pay 1% of the final price of any item you win (but if you don't win, you don't pay).

Have ‘won’ some green and yellow checked voile on ebay. I’m hoping to use it in my conservatory as curtains but will make a final decision on how I use it when it arrives. Am thinking about covering the cushions on my two wicker chairs but am unsure as yet what sort of fabric to use.
This is what the chair looks like at the moment:

I was thinking of some kind of green fabric [ green is my favourite colour!] but am not sure if it should be plain or patterned. I like stripes, checks and aztec type designs rather than flowers.

Viv, Laura Ashley have a lovely fabric called *heath green gingham*.. it is very pretty and fresh..it costs 13 pound a metre, which seems a lot (though it is discounted at the moment to 10:40!) but it is very practical and durable and washes brilliantly, which would mean if you could make a removable cover for your chair it would last very well and remain looking like new!

It's one of the best fabrics I have ever worked with in all honesty.
