Vivw I love that chair. Love the colour too. What colour is it painted if you don't mind me asking ?Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

The wicker frame is painted/or rather stained with a bluey/green dye. It was bought like that. I loved the material when I bought it but have had them now for about 8 years and now need a change. Thought if I made loose covers I could ring the changesWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0

Edit...they have a rather nice table for sale now where could I fit that????? although I'm not supposed to be buying any furniture!simplicity is key0 -
thanks everyone for your suggestions about painting the dresser... thats if i actually get it.. i hope the price doesnt go up to much and i can get it..but anyways if i do happen to be able to get it.. i was thinking maybe more of an off white and less of a cream .. as i seem to paint everything cream nowadays and it can get a bit boring !!
just wondering vintagepleasure if you had a picture of the bookcase you've painted in that dimity colour as it does look like a nice colour on the website but it would be nice to see it actually on a peice of furniture!!
just wondering aswell what colour i should go for in my room aswell.. at the minute ive painted two walls in sea green by dulux and the other two walls are orchard white.. but its soo depressing.. its a dark room .. only gets sun or nice light in there about 5 oclock on a summers afternoon.. just not sure what to do it like.. its not a very big room.. but im revamping the whole room as it really gets me down.. we did want to knock down the wall adn make our kitchen bigger but its to much of a big job as its an outside wall and would cost to much!!!!0 -

I really wanted one but couldn't find one in my price range. Now I've got no room!!
Oooh I love the look of those, I have a single wardrobe that looks like that with the drawers at the bottom, only half the size in width though except it has hanging space at the top instead of being shelved, I suppose shelves could be put in. It is yet another item in our garage:D0 -
just came back from tesco.. and i caved in... i said i was going to do my kitchen with recycled items BUT..
these lovely metal mop buckets were reduced to £5 i just could not resist....
http://www.oxfordbrushcompany.co.uk/products.html
i have some old mop buckets that i painted up with a load of varigated pineapple mint in them.. but they have seen better days so will neeed to spruce them up when the weather gets a bit better..
the one i bought is a lovely pastel green so will be great in the kitchen....
i also like the housekeepers box that they got shown on their website.... might try and find out how much they are.... and try and find out where i can get one from....tesco only had the mob bucket and the dustpan and brush...Work to live= not live to work0
