The bobbles for Innocent Drinks hats need to be quite small - I'm makeing them myself with small remainders so that they are ready for the next time they are requested.
Anyway, the way that I do these small pom poms is to wrap DK wool around forefinger and middle finger 30 times, cut the end. Poke a 6" piece of wool between the fingers so it is in the middle of the loops, ease loops off fingers and tie 6" piece around then very tightly, leaving one end long enough to sew with. Snip loops and fluff out ends, trim ends to make pom pom even

Thanks Seakay. Out of all the suggestions yours were by far the easiest, fastest and best. I don't mind the "traditional" method but when the bobbles need to be this small I found it to fiddly. Thanks to you I nearly finished them all now.

    Hi

Haven't posted in the Knitters' Thread before, but have started knitting again.

Has anyone knitted out of the Mirasol Collection Bk 1 (Jane Ellison) specifically the Moises socks in Miski yarn?

    Hi there.

Is there anyone out there who could make me up a pattern so I can knit Action Men jumpers?! I can do plain, purl and cable but I don't think he will be wanting Fair Isle!

    Thanks.

    Hi

i was in Dunelm Mill on Friday, and they are selling off Rowan Spray wool reduced from £7.95 per 100g, to 99p.

I didn't see any patterns, but you need 10mm needles, so it is chunky or super chunky thickness

I'm knitting for my first grandchild to be (a girl):j .
Haven't knitted for ages but I thought I'd try a small matinee coat or jacket using the Soft'n'Fluffy yarn from wilkinsons. It states it knits up as chunky or mohair so i wonder if anyone can suggest a suiatble pattern please?
    Thanks

ACEY I have some ancient Action Man patterns. There is some fair isle on them but you could just leave them plain. If you pm me I should be able to help you out.

Hi everyone:hello: :hello: :hello: it's good to see this thread has come back to the fore again. How is everyone getting on with their knitting and how is the stash busting.

I did lots of baby clothes through the winter and my pink and white blanket is still an on going project ready for the next round of babies in my life.

I joined the Knit a square thread but only managed three squares but now I have started a cardigan for myself to help keep the fuel bills down in retirement.

I am finding with such a cold dull spring I am still doing quite a lot of knitting in the evenings but I am sure when the sun shines I will have to be out in the garden and the knitting will have to rest.

Lets hear from all the knitters out there.

As long as it says DK or 4ply I have used it to good effect. Used to work out much cheaper too, but I haven't seen any for years.
