Hi, Mary that little cardigan is lovely - really unusual and different 😃.
I bought buttons on Friday and have finished few things. I have added a link to the waistcoat for 3 yo granddaughter.

I got a lovely surprise when dil and 3 grandchildren arrived on my doorstep at 8.30 this morning. I was still sitting in my pjs, drinking tea and surfing the net when my I heard the doorbell !!!

Granddaughter loved the waistcoat and is going to wear it to nursery next week.

    Happy knitting xx

    That's beautiful Plum!

I do too, I look at things in shops and my head thinks I could do that for 2 balls of wool etc. Plus they are somexpensive too. I'm just so glad that I can knit and we've saved pounds. The little ones look so cute in their hand knits. Nursery have said to me we wonder what he will be wearing to day and they love his unusual hand knitted hats. He is currently wearing his Easter bunny hat off ravelry. Lovely top Plum she will look lovely in it and no one else will have one the same. x
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)

Good evening ladies, I'm looking for some help. What sort of needle do you use to sew up your knits please ? Apols for such a basic question but I never seem to get a smooth seam and I think it might be the needle's fault !

    Thanks

    Hi ercismum
I just use a standard bodkin to sew up (day needle with big enough eye for wool to go through) it might be the stitch used rather than the needle I'm never sure mine are 100%

I used back stitch but as Mary said mattress stitch gives a far flatter and neater seam, I found it on pintrest and watched a tutorial on YouTube
