I've checked it on Ravelry and it seems to be an aran weight yarn so perhaps try a pure wool aran?
  • I haven't posted in months, but I just wanted to say I've stuck at the knitting and it's coming along very well! I've made 3 jumpers and 2 cardigans for tiny humans this year, and am currently in the middle of a simple scarf for not-so-tiny OH. I'm quite proud of myself.

Sashanut, the cover I'm making for my sons Nintendo Ds is part of his Christmas pres. It's the same story every year, Christmas always falls on the same day but we either take on too much or think we can pull an extra project in

Every year I say I will plan to do Christmas gifts and projects through the year but I always end up Christmas week rushing to finish off the last few things.

Finished the beanie hat, except for sewing up, just got the handwarmers to do now...then I find out got to go with DD to opticians tomorrow morning, that doesn't leave much time for making the mitts! It is a very quick easy pattern though, thank goodness...don't know what I'm worrying about tbh as she doesn't even know I am making them, so won't be bothered either way :rotfl:

Mrs M I think we need to make a pact - we will start the knitting next year EARLY as we know that other stuff gets in the way later in the year & then we are under pressure. It's not like we can't make things in Jan/Feb/Mar before it gets too warm or we think we don't like knitting snowflakes in July LOL!!

    I'd forgotten this thread.

I've also knitted some little Aran jumpers, but now I'm on the big project - an Aran jumper for myself.

No hurry, just knit when I feel like, usually with one eye on the TV. And Pointless is my prompt to get on with it.

I've just found this thread. my DS and DD asked me to make them a Christmas jumper this year, DS loved his one but DD said her's was too short, very annoyed as I showed her the pattern before I started and she could have asked me to make it longer. So it's in my wardrobe now and I have no idea what to do with it, I can't throw it out as it took so long to do.

I think I'll stick to cushion covers and the like next year.

Have a Peaceful Christmas and New Year everyone xx
