Nice socks, always meant to try that pattern.
I have not emigrated but have been ill, so knitting progress been very very very slow- in fact there has been many days of simply lying in bed and not even picking up knitting or a book or anything, simply moving to visit the loo and such like! Gradually feeling better so will be more FO's soon.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Feeling a good bit better thanks, though tired and coughing still.
Here is a pair of socks I finished for me in the 'yarn I once hated but grew to love', this time in reds and oranges and purples and pinks!
Hoping to not need them for a few months, in vain hope of a summer here in Orkney!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I love those colours OS
Know what you mean about the weather though - it's nearly June
I'm off to my daughter's in Hampshire tomorrow and I've no idea what to take to wear. Should be t shirts and sandals, but I think I might also pack jumpers and socks :eek:Jack of all trades ... Master of none

Today we have had:
1. strong wind
2. sunshine
3. hail (just as friend and me walking home with kiddies- not mine though!)
4. wind and sun together!
Have a nice time at daughters...perhaps a layering approach for clothes is the way to go?Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Cuddles123 - I love these.. Are they easy to do and where did you get the pattern from please. I would love to make some and with or without cuffs is a good idea too. I'd wear them now!0

linni - dead simple. Knitted in one flat piece with some shaping. Using bulky wool they knit up fast.
This is the pattern

For the ones with cuffs, I just knitted 20 rows of ribbing instead of 4 / 6 rows of garter stitch.
Good luck - look forward to pics.Jack of all trades ... Master of none
