Thank you cuddles 123. Will be 'experimenting' soon, although I don't think my pics (or slippers) will be as good as yours. :)

I'm sure they'll be great. Really easy pattern :D

You can buy a bottle of rubber solution by Regia called ABS Latex.
I used this on my grandson's slippers and my daughter says it works..

Wow Cuddles, thank you again, I can't believe you know how. I'll see if I can get some Regia! I'm just about to have a rummage through my wool to see what I've got to make them with. Can't wait to get started.

OrkneyStar - your socks are lovely too. I tried knitting wrist warmers with my circular needles but couldn't seem to get the hang of it.

Thanks for this, id just about talked myself out of making myself some because im terrified of slipping after an accident that nearly killed me as a child which involved a glass door....

Did you make a stencil for the paw pattern?
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

No stencil, just looked at a picture.
The stuff is quite sticky, so not sure a stencil would work.
You could do any design - spots, stripes, whatever.

My non felted slippers. Knitted on 5mm needles in Wendy Serenity (£1.99 per 100g from Hobbycraft, buy 3 for the price of 2! - anyone want 1 slipper?) I did 24 extra rows in p2 k2 rib, increasing a stitch at either end every 4 rows

Hubby and #2 son have asked me to make them some (but not in purple...)

My 82 year old Nan wants to start knitting again and has asked me to get some wool for her. I've looked everywhere for wool but they no longer seem to measure the wool in ply? I have instructions for 4 ply wool. What is this in modern wool measurements?? Would really appreciate the help!
There is no new modern wool measurement that I know of but ball bands now tend to show the needle size used. For 4 ply you'd want something with a needle range from approx 2-4.5mm (depending on how tight you want the stitches). This page tells you the old imperial sizes compared to mm sizes.
TBH I have still seen a lot of baby wool with 4ply written on, sock wool is also a 4ply wool/nylon blend.

Well done - knew you could do it :D
Have you found the non stick for the bottom?

I have just got back from two weeks in Crete and managed to knit in some beautiful places ;) Pics later when I get them downloaded.
