Ha, I know, some people do ridiculously priced BINs. Needless to say, I didn't buy it, even though it was local.
I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:

What about the time, effort and know how? Should somebody making a sculpture from odds and ends of metal only charge for the cost of materials, or should they include a fair rate for the effort and knowledge it took to assemble?

Surely its about what the purchaser is prepared to pay? Market forces...

    Hi All,
I've litterally JUST started knitting so I was hoping to join you if you'll have me.

I bought the Knit & Stitch magazine (I realise it's probably a con in the long run but I'll keep it going for a while to see for myself) so i've knitted the first of my squares and I've bought a book from The Book People who visit the office on How to Knit Wild Animals (which I'm thrilled about :D).

I'll no doubt be on here asking for help when it arrives tomorrow!
I bought that book too, can't wait to get going
  • just picked up the first 2 issues of knit and stitch tonight. The wool shades are lovely.:T

  • Hi, i was hoping to find someone who could help me out. In nov/dec i went into morrisons and there was a knitting pattern magazine for around £10 that had mainly bits in for kids. It had a zebra nursery rug pattern in it. Does anyone know which mag it was please? Thanks in advance xx

What is your favourite cast on?

I have been experimenting with different cast on techniques, although the Italian tubular cast on is still suspect.

The decorative one's are fun to do and add an interesting twist to garment.
