I've just CO a dress for my six year old, and will be starting Xmas gift knits too - my sister wants some crochet coasters and mum wants a pair of Fetching fingerless mittens, I gave a pair to my sister a few years ago.

I'm thinking of knitting after many years of not doing so. I've had a look at the Ravelry website and wondered if someone would explain the following to me in relation to knitting socks please.

    Fingering / 4 ply (14 wpi)
Gauge 32 stitches = 4 inches in 3x1 Rib, Unstretched

    Needle size US 1½ - 2.5 mm

    37Yardage0 yards (338 m)

thankfully have just come across pictures of the wool that will describe the wool alot better than i can and hopefully someone may be able to help with the pattern, or lack of it lol thanks

The pattern is on the link that you have given us above. Click on the tab that says 'DETAILS' and there are instructions and photos to show you what to do. Good luck - once you start you'll find that a scarf knits up really quickly!
