thanks orkney for pulling me through and you too cuddles. i have seen the threads you havesuggested but still not found what i am looking for?..... beginning to wonder if i am really hard to please. but having been on the net now since 5.30 this morning i am practically having it winched out from me. not well so guess i should be resting after having a hernia op, but am sure all you knitters out there know what it is like when you have a picture of what you want in your head but cant find the pattern. so am asking if someone could please find a pattern for me i have 400g of wendy 100% bamboo and would like a tank top doent matter how plain or fancy it is as if i have the measurements and number of stitches i would need i could change it for my own liking. my dd2 has said if and when someone can help she will have an eye on web for me and will print and bring it up for me. these were the only terms i would accept before she switches me off and makes me go back to bed so will need to thank you in advance and wish you all a peaceful sunday afternoon

These are all the vest tops on Ravelry for that weight of yarn, so hope there is something here you like.

You can check under 'yardage/meterage' within the search which cuddles very kindly posted for you. Click on the link and 2/3rd way down left hand side of the ravelry search page you will see the option to tick how many metres/yards (one or the other) you have. The meterage/yardage should be on the ball band, so all you need to do is multiply the amount in yards/meters by how many balls you have (eg If your 400g was made up of 8 x 50g balls, with 100 metres per ball, you have 8 x 100 metres = 800 metres). Sorry, been on nightshift.
Yes, as Orkney says, the meterage will be on the ballband.
    According to Ravelry..

    Pure
    by Wendy
    Worsted / 10 ply
    100% Bamboo
    87 yards / 50 grams

So 400g would be 696 yards, so this search is all the patterns using up to 750 yards

Sorry, I didn't realise which yarn it was, or would have done that and saved you the bother after being on nightshift :).

Homealone I went to a wool fdair on Saturday and have the card for the Wendy wool suppliers - their website is
    https://www.tbramsden.co.uk

Haven't checked myself for what you're looking for, but hopefuly you'll find it. They had some lovely stuff on display, all sorts of scrumptious colours and textures.

  • Hi All,

After a bit of advice, friend has asked me to knit a blanket for her premature baby, born at 25 weeks, now 27 1/2 wks, so little fighter so far. Anyway is it ok to use baby wool or better to use cotton or another blend?

    EH xx
