:o sorry seems to be famine or feast with me, away from site for weeks then my head seems full of questions. this time its a sewing machine dilema i have joined a sewing class and dusted off my 25 yr old sewing machine which was still boxed up but with bad back have problem getting it from car to class. i then remembered a louis v bag that had height i needed and the wheels you pull out from zipped compartment from bottom. it fitted in a treat and even had room in side compartments for work on the go, patterns, material etc. then my ever helpful son came with me yesterday to carry stuff in as was having a particularly bad day and instead of carrying iy up a very high step he decided to drag it up and of course the whole pull out extendable poles and handle came off leaving bag in the gutter. have searched high and low for one with wheels and they range in price from |£55 to £75. has anyone seen something that would do the job at a price that i dont need a mortgage for. am sure machine only cost that all those years ago? has to have wheels as cant carry it

Have you tried sending Berrocco an email to ask if they still make the yarn or if they can recommend a substitute? There website is https://www.Berrocco.com. I've done this in the past with various yarn companies and most have been very helpful.

i wanted to knit this 3123.jpg

and it said the wool was smart cotton (68 per cent cotton/29 per cent rayon 3 per cent nylon) from berroco inc and for first time in 33 years i wanted to buy the correct wool. however looking on berroco i cant find it. can anyone suggest where i may pick it up or alternaively a similar but cheaper oJne. unfortunately in trying to find a cheaper one myself i ended up adding to my stash yet again at ice yarns their wool is so cheap £2-£3 for a 800 g bag. down side is it comes from turkey by dhl which can add anything from £15 - £20 to order but even with this added its really cheap. i bought this http://www.iceyarns.com/zerda_twist_blue_grey but as you can see although i got loads as didnt realise they were 100g balls they are not cotton but wool and i think for use with 6mm needles. did they even stock what i needed as i didnt see any. any help gratefully received

Wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction .......my youngest grandson is 10 months old and I want to knit him a hat for the Winter. Hope I can describe this correctly....I am wanting to knit him one like this....they are usually pull on (although I would likely need to knit on earflaps to fasten for him to keep it on) and they have a pompom in each corner....I suppose the hat is square in shape with a pompom on each corner. Sorry, hopeless at explaining. Anyone have a knitting pattern number I can look for or even instructions as I suppose it will be quite easy to do ?

I actually finished my second wristwarmer :rotfl:I started the first last year and finally dug them out to finish last week.
Nothing exciting as I can't knit for toffee so just used crofter chunky for a bit of pizazzz instead.I'm gearing up for the neck warmer next :D
  • I would like to knit a shawl for a friend's baby - possibly in moss stitch - or similar.
Can anyone suggest a pattern or could anyone help with the number of stitches and size of needle?
I have a double knitting yarn.

    Many thanks

I knit a Rico pompom baby blanket for my grandson, lovely soft and warm. It was that popular with my daughter's friends I have now knit 15 in the last 10 months and it knits up so quick.
