I take it you mean me ? I did laugh when I saw that my abbreviated name (OS) is also Old Style (OS) abbreviated! Kind of cool :D. Wasn't intentional though!

Not really knitting more of a crochet question , but do you have any good ideas on how to pick colours for making a blanket? I have been looking loads on esty, google etc but cant make my mind up.

Only made half a one and now at the not sure if I like all the colours stage, but want to do some possible for xmas if I can get my self sorted. I usually have a good imagination just not it seems when wool is concerned!

Gingerbiscuit I use this site for my card-making - it might help

Well I finally finished my first big item since starting knitting again, its a hooded sweater in baby blue cotton yarn. Any constructive criticism gratefully recieved, I'm really not good at sewing it all together!

Well done maganan - that looks great. Is it adult size? That takes some knitting - and sewing together!

I have been concentrating on small Neckwarmers as gifts. Quick and easy!

I have got a children's knitting book from the library in the hope that I can actually knit something useful. Think I am going to try and make a wee bag for my DD, wish me luck!

Woohoo finished a second pair of socks (well they really are anklets), good for the summer as they are also lacey and cool! :).
I now only have a pair in progress (where one is done and second is third way done) and 3 other non-urgent easy knitting WIP's, however I am going to cast on a pair of colourwork socks as part of the Sock Knitters Anonymous Mock, where you get a clue every week....just off deciding colours! Lovely neckwarmers Cuddles, I have the third yarn pictured there- my mum made me a jumper and I crocheted a hat with it!
Hope all are well and welcome all newbies!

    Morning all,
You've all been very busy making beautiful things. I shall attempt to catch up when the tennis has finished!

Got as far as the lace edging for charity blanket.
Have been trying to brush up on the very rusty crochet skills to make these - http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/crochet-baby-converse. Have been wanting to make them for a while, and DIL would love a pair to gift to friend's baby. Being a bit of a perfectionist, I am now at the stage where I have three odd ones of these lined up on my coffee table. (Bit like when I first started knitting socks). Getting size, tension and cuteness factor exactly right is driving me nuts. I am determined to get there! Wish I wasn't so fussy sometimes.

    NJ xx
