Good morning, sunshine at last.
Welcome to all new people. Ami82, your blanket is beautiful. Can't wait to see what you do next!
I am heavily into tennis watching this fortnight. I love it. So it's plain knitting for me. Charity blanket half done. Waiting for a top up order of wool to begin small blanket for GD. Was going to put a picture of Buzz Lightyear on a jumper, but DIL has pointed out that GD will probably refuse to wear anything else, and we will have a job to get it off her to wash! So am going to improvise and put the picture on a small blanket. Haven't done a chart picture for years, so am a bit anxious. Be OK when I start. Have got Wendy Sorrento in cotton/acrylic.
I just discovered something useful, if you look up wool on Delamores, you can click the colours, and then further down the page there is a tab called "alternatives", which will give you other yarns with the same tension. How useful is that, when you find a pattern that uses wool that is too expensive etc.
Have a good day, off to be busy before it's tennis time!

Morning everyone,
Start of the summer holidays here today, so no nursery for the wee man for a wee while- he only did 3 x 2.5 hour sessions but we will both miss them! Not sure how much knitting we will get done, the day is planned (doing that every night), so that he knows what is coming along.....today is making playdough, walk (great as it is nice today), playing cars and a dvd later! Anyway just wanted to say I finally finished my Regia simple stocking stitch socks- I love them! They actually took very little time but I have several WIPs on the go, so it seemed like a lot longer!
ETA Also meant to say I got all my hair cut off this weekend (I mean pretty much all)- now having great fun seeing how my different knitted hats suit me with no hair!

Orkney loving those socks! Nannyjenny looking forward to seeing the blanket once completed!
My next project is a not a knitted one.... i am crocheting a large granny square blanket for DS this time. I would love to knit a cardigan for DD next (something that is not straight lines like the blankets i've been making LOL!) I want to try something a bit harder and test myself! But my problem is although there are loads of patterns on Ravlery i can't read them. I learnt from my non speaking english mum when i was young and now when i got stuck i looked on YouTube for help. So, are there any super easy reading patterns out there? I am looking for a ultra simple ones with just basic stitches.
Hope you all enjoying the weather!0 -
Hi,
Heat is too much for me I'm afraid. I already have hot flushes, so I feel quite ill.
This is my Lacy Karius made with Noro Silk Garden
Fabulous socks as usual Orkney!
How short is the hair? Are you going to change your Ravelry pics?
I am knitting a Fidget in Fishermans Rib now. Loving the yarn and the stitch, but if you go wrong you have absolutely no chance of frogging!Jack of all trades ... Master of none
