    Hi,

Heat is too much for me I'm afraid. I already have hot flushes, so I feel quite ill.

This is my Lacy Karius made with Noro Silk Garden

    Fabulous socks as usual Orkney!

How short is the hair? Are you going to change your Ravelry pics?

I am knitting a Fidget in Fishermans Rib now. Loving the yarn and the stitch, but if you go wrong you have absolutely no chance of frogging!

Great Karius- nice shades in the yarn.
As for the hair it is very short now, basically 'choppy' short. I have one new pic on ravelry profile with a hat on.

Love the Noro colours, but not really a Noro fan, What with the thick & thin, vegetable matter and the smell......

We need to see a pic without the hat Orkney :D

Well I haven't really got a decent one yet.....
As for Noro, I hated the way it felt when I knitted the socks but love the final socks! I didn't mind the variation in thickness tbh!

Hello! I am a new knitter and I just wondered where was a cost effective place to buy Katia Merino sport wool?

  • Not really knitting more of a crochet question , but do you have any good ideas on how to pick colours for making a blanket? I have been looking loads on esty, google etc but cant make my mind up.

Only made half a one and now at the not sure if I like all the colours stage, but want to do some possible for xmas if I can get my self sorted. I usually have a good imagination just not it seems when wool is concerned!

GB you could make a "mood board" collect bits of wool, material, bits of paper from sunday magazines. stick them on a board and when you have what looks right including shade, tone and colour eg all muted or all bright then use it as a starting point and source the yarn you want in those colours.
  • Oh great idea I am rather a hoarder of all things nice and pretty that may come in handy.
