I haven't posted on here for ages but I have been lurking and keeping up with the posts. Shouldn't have dropped out but I've had a lot going on and been a bit down since Christmas.

Jennyjelly - adore the bar harbour bag. Is it your own pattern or did you find it on the net?

Just now I'm making an arrany cardi for no 3 gs. I made one for no2 and my daughter fell for it and asked for one for her baby when it was born. Now we know he's a boy I have made a start and I've opted for navy in a 6 months to one year size. That way it should see him through the autumn.

Aaw Susan, sorry to hear you've been down down, hope you are on your way up again!

The bag is made from this pattern - I NEVER pay for patterns as there are so many free on t'internet, but when I saw this and couldn't find a free source I thought it was worth it.

Pics of the arran cardies please!
Oh dear, here we go again.

Jenny - thankyou for your good wishes. I bought the pattern. It will have to be queued for the moment as I have a few projects I want to get on with first!! Thanks for the link.

Ladies, can I join you on here ?? :)

I'm a knitter, just seem to make cute little baby hats all the time as they are so quick and easy to make. Don't feel brave enough to start a larger knitting challenge just yet.

Sue, I'm so glad you bought it, I'm sure you will really enjoy knitting it, I did. If you get at all stuck and need any help I've got all the awkward bits worked out now so just ask.

Hi Fluffitybunny, welcome to the thread. You'll find loads of ideas on here to tempt you away from baby hats - just look through the thread and you won't know what to make first!

    Thanks for the welcome jennyjelly

Here's a couple of pics of my creations. I would love to learn how to knit on circular needles but it just looks too confusing, how easy is it ?

I've never been able to get to grips with circulars and always use DPNs for socks, hats etc. However I do find circulars useful to replace very long straights when I'm knitting something with loads of stitches, like a shawl or something, and just go back and forth on them. I will have another go one day but it's at the bottom of my list of priorities as I'm happy with my DPNs so I don't really feel the need!

ETA - very pretty hats, I especially love the feather & fan one at the bottom.

    FluffityBunny -

Welcome. I am in exactly the same place as Jennyjelly with circulars. Love dpns for socks. Have a throw on a circular as its 300 odd stitches. I would love to master them one day and have even queued a pattern for what is supposed to be easy peasy jumper on circs. Just need to wait for the moment when I feel inspired/brave enough to give it a go. Always seem to have enough on the go as it is.

    Cuddles -

Are you OK. or snowed under with projects/life as we all get sometimes?

    Good Morning

    Lovely bright sunny morning here!!

Thank you for the offer, Jenny. I'm looking forward to getting going with the bag. It will make me quicker with my current projects so I can get on with it. I shall resist the temptation to buy the wool till then! It looks as though it may be a challenge and I shall enjoy that. I shall certainly pick your brains as I go, though!!!!

Hello Fluffity. Love your hats. I've been doing some baby knitting for no2 and no3 grandsons aged all but 4 and all but 17 months. They are cousins, not brothers!

I shall post a photo of the cable jacket I'm making as soon as I can remember how to post photos!! Think I'm having a 'senior week' just now!! Couldn't remember our postcode the other day! It soon came back to me; but I haven't posted a photo for a while and thought I could post directly from my computer but maybe I have to go through photobucket or flickr. Will have another look at it.
