My all-time favourite wool site had disappeared and now I know they went into administration - but there has been a buyer and they're back. I do love this wool, if anybody in here likes real superwarm soft lovely lambswool, then go here -

I got some of their wool at a knitting fair and now won't buy from anybody else. Absolutely no connection to the company, just love their product0 -

Perhaps put this on 'The Knitters Thread' ?
Sounds like some good choices, but tbh there are loads of great wool suppliers out there now, and so much choice.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I will, if I can find the Knitters thread !
Lot of choice yes but this is a Scottish mill that has been trading since 1798 or something like that , and I like that.

Fabulous very old firm, recently went out of business but now they're back. I got the best wool ever from here.0 -
Hi Mar is the wool soft? I buy quite a lot from Jamiesons when i'm knitting kilt hose but although its great in that it wears in tune with the kilt it isnt very soft.
have just got a new knitting book of vintage patterns and would love something softer for the patterns

It is yes, just as crisp and easy to knit but more lambswool so is softer. I love J&S but once I got this I found it even better.0
