Wow! Been missing for two weeks and just had to catch up on the thread. Lovely, lovely work every one. Trying to get my feet back on the ground after son's wedding. Nearly finished the aran hoodie for me, cast on 6th pair of socks for son, having delivered the 5th pair last week. Also cast on cardie for GD1 in King Cole Splash. Oddments throw is growing slowly but surely.

timefortea - this pattern looks nice and easy, suitable for men or women and it's top down so you can adjust the length.

Thanks for the suggestions! I think I'm going to go with the Lion Brand one, I like the ribbed sleeves and hem.
  • I've been watching TV and have been lured into purchasing a kit for Extreme Knitting. In case you haven't heard of it, which I hadn't until recently, it's knitting using huuuuge needles and multiple threads of yarn. Given it's best part of £20 for a pair of needles, thought I might as well pay the extra and get the yarn as well.

And then I might go and take up residence in JennyJelly's living room and knit all her stash up as well.

    Hi everyone,

Hope you are all ok? I am a complete newbie when it comes to knitting and crochet, I have just started over the last couple of weeks.

Dizzy - I love your mug hugs! Are they quite easy to make?

Do any of you know how I can find a knitting group to join? I've tried googling but the ones it comes up with seem old, so I'm not sure if they're still running. I'm going to go into a textile shop not too far away from me to see if they know of anything but I can't get there until next weekend now.

I'm in Nottingham if anyone can find/recommend anywhere!

Are you on Ravelry? It's free to sign up. In the Groups section I typed in Nottingham and a few turned up. http://www.ravelry.com

    Hope you find something :)
