Has anyone bought any wool from the above link? it looks nice and a good price as well for 100% wool. The aran wool is ony £2.95 for a 100gr ball and some lovely colours as well .

I've bought from them, both on-line and from the mill shop. The wool is nice and the service is good. If you're buying on-line, you can buy a shade-card first for a couple of pounds, and it's worth it.

Cor - that ^^^ is cheap ! I stopped knitting when all the wool shops closed down except the ones that sold drastic plastic acrylic junk which I wouldn't sully my needles with.

I use acrylic or acrylic mixes for some items though I also prefer high wool content for other things....depends on what I am making. Acrylic yarns are preferrer for preemie/SCBU charity knitting.

Have you thought about putting a request in some of the knitting mags ? I`ve often seen people asking if anyone has wool to finish a project, so you are definitely not alone.

Hello there In Search of Me - nice to meet you. I also didn't realise how many of us are out there - but I am trying to contain myself from all these threads and forums because as I have said earlier, it all takes away from the knitting! As soon as I read someone's post and there is a link or a recommendation, off I go and there's another hour gone. My "would love to do one day" pile is so big I'll never live long enough to finish it!
