Had to laugh though...discovered that Kincraig Fabrics are based in Brora...only a few miles from my dad...who I am flying up to see in 12 days time!!! Wonder if they have a shop so I can see what the yarns look like "in the flesh" as it were. Might just drop them an email. :)
LOL I drove through there last week, on my way home....did not know about the wool shop though (maybe a good job...did I say I bought a bit too much Regia in Hobbycraft lol!).

Not too great today...had two asthma attacks this morning and still quite short of breath atm. Waiting to hear from the doctor who is ringing me at home...hopefully I will get some steroids to help clear this chest...been rubbish for the past week or more....should probably have seen a doc last week...but I thought I was improving!!
    Hope you feel better soon!

Forgot to say last week I also started a scarf at mum's last week....half done and will post when finished...kinda fluffy in dark blue with reddy pink and turquiose through it too...using 8mm needles!

I've found a great knitting pattern on line for babies 'denim jeans' knitted from Rowan Denim

I knitted these! Well I tried. Once the legs are knit up you have to drop a stitch all the way to the bottom of the jean legs and then pick it back up again using yellow yarn to imitate the stitching on denim jeans. It drove me nuts and after a couple of attempts - meaning I unravelled the project and started from scratch - I gave up.

Of course there's every likelihood that you're a good knitter, whereas I'm a very average one :o

Edit: I'm a very happy knitter .. I managed to turn the heel ok. Now just have to figure out the gusset.
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

I did not know it sold wool either, would be a welcome break in Brora (other than ice cream lol!).

Yes, we always stop for an ice-cream, it's become a tradition in our family. The only time Dad didn't stop a couple of years ago, he fell asleep and drove into a wall a few yards away !

The 4-ply arrived today (ordered Saturday!)...looks lovely, a mix of brown/cream and rust...can't wait to get started....DH is after a few pairs...and I might knit my dad a pair too...my gran always knitted him his socks..and she died 20 years ago...so it's time he had some new ones!

I am going to get in touch with the supplier to see if I can visit to see what the wools are like in the flesh...might buy a few 100g merino/cashmere balls. Not too much as I will have to fly back with them!! That's a day out for me and dad...and Capaldis too ofcourse!!

Off work with my asthma for the rest of the week, so should get plenty of knitting done :D!

Right off to get washed and dressed as a friend is visiting...soon...in 20 mins  so must dash!!

Well that is good reason to stop from now on if I ever heard one! Hope he was ok!
