:rotfl:Keep up the good work M! Am doing something similar myself except I don't have a hot water bottel.
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)

I have some Jaeger Natural Fleace and want to knit a hat - a sort of beanie but with a fold back edge. I can't find a pattern anywhere - can anyone help?

A pattern for a beanie? Or a pattern for one with a fold-back edge? If the latter, all you have to do is knit a longer ribbed section for the brim. There are some patterns which are specifically designed for folding back - for example the Marsan Watchcap here, but you can do the same with pretty much any hat with a ribbed brim.

Thankyou. The wool in question is very thick which is why I am looking for a pattern for that specific yarn. The watch cap is interesting but is knitted on much thinner wool.

Ravelry classifies the yarn as 'super bulky' and searching the patterns for super bulky beanies returns 148 results.

ETA: and searching patterns that used that specific yarn produces 6 hats, 2 of which have folded edges.

Ah, I see. I suppose I've been knitting so long that I don't think twice about adjusting patterns to suit what I've got or what size I want etc.

You could do a swatch with your yarn and I or someone else here could help you calculate out your stitch-count etc - or do as Apollonia did and do a yarn search on Rav.

    Hi there,
    Hope everyone is ok.
Here is a finished sock, (here it is again lol too)........just second to do. I was worried that this one was going to use too much wool but was left with a little bit of one ball left, so the next sock done the same should also use just under 1 ball too.
I love it and it feels so warm on!

Thanks for that - especially the Ravelry classification. Believe me I searched google thoroughly before posing the question but didn't come up with anything specific - will look again :)
