Yeah - I've knit a cardigan!!!!! Lol - my first ever attempt at knitting anything other than a scarf and i'm really chuffed with myself. I've left it at the end of my daughter's bed as she has been waiting ages for me to finish it - just got to add the buttons but my daughter is going to help me choose them

Poohspals - That's such a cute cardi. I see all these fantastic girls things to knit - but I have boys. I'd love to do something girlie!

I've also not got the patience for making items up. I'd end up with lots of sleeves and panels! I tend to stick to hats and scarves, and anything I can knit in the round!

My latest sock offering, the yellow ones are mine, the others are for my grand daughter for Christmas. I'm about to start on a pair for my daughter.

Yup they are the two needle ones. I am still grappling with the pair on 4 needles, have got to the foot shaping bit, need to be quiet whilst I sort it out......

Can I ask for some advice please?

I have to pick up some stitches around the hood of a jacket I'm knitting.
2 stitches for every 3 rows. As I'm a novice knitter, can anyone advise or point me in the direction of a good tutorial please?

When you say pick up stitches, do you mean to increase the number stitches per row?

You could either (kfb) on the first and last stitch of every third row, or (m1) on the second and second to last stitch on every third row.

Personally I would do the second one but that's only if I am understanding what you mean correctly.
