Yeah - I've knit a cardigan!!!!! Lol - my first ever attempt at knitting anything other than a scarf and i'm really chuffed with myself. I've left it at the end of my daughter's bed as she has been waiting ages for me to finish it - just got to add the buttons but my daughter is going to help me choose them0

Poohspals - That's such a cute cardi. I see all these fantastic girls things to knit - but I have boys. I'd love to do something girlie!
I've also not got the patience for making items up. I'd end up with lots of sleeves and panels! I tend to stick to hats and scarves, and anything I can knit in the round!0 -

Can I ask for some advice please?
I have to pick up some stitches around the hood of a jacket I'm knitting.
2 stitches for every 3 rows. As I'm a novice knitter, can anyone advise or point me in the direction of a good tutorial please?Jack of all trades ... Master of none

You could either (kfb) on the first and last stitch of every third row, or (m1) on the second and second to last stitch on every third row.
Personally I would do the second one but that's only if I am understanding what you mean correctly.0
