I'm a newbie on this thread :) I learned to knit as a kid but have only got into it properly in the last few years. Just trying my first proper lace pattern at the moment....it's certainly a challenge!

    Very nice!
If anyone wants to look me up on Ravelry I'm there with the same username.

  • hiya I am new to this thread, I am on summer holidays and have been bored so I got given some needles some wool and told to knit, then I broke my wrist :(. I have still been knitting though and interested in crochet so have got wool and a hook but not sure how to crochet I can chain stitch then I get confused.
My current project is a blanket for a friend and her baby in pink and lilac I have 2 lilac squares to complete then it is finished.
I have joined Ravelry but have not really looked around.

    Hi Fellow Knitters,

Going to be saving up for some needles and yarn for my next project, a comfort wrap, but until then I think it's back to my cross-stitching, as I still have some kits for that to finish.

That's a fab scarf Kez. I used to pick up needles in charity shops and car boots. It's worth looking out for things like that. I also picked up about 50 magazines and pattern books last weekend at a car boot for £5. They were all from 2008 onwards.
    Very nice!
