Help! My oldest daughter and I have just been to see Twilight Eclipse and she is now hankering after the bella hat! The only problem I have is that I can't knit with double pointed needles or with a circular needle. Any advice on how I can alter the patterns I found would be most appreciated. Thanks! x

Hi ginnyknit. Thanks! I found one on Ravelry and thankfully its a free one!

I'm going to try and knit her as much twilight inspired stuff as possible for her christmas. She's really my step-daughter but she has recently come to live with us permanently and she's even asked if I can teach her to knit so she can sit and chill with me at night when her younger sisters have gone to bed!LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

I forgot to add. The pattern states worsted weight/10 ply wool. I take it that means double knitting wool? I really should be stash busting as I have so much wool lying around the house. The little ones have these anatomically correct girl baby dolls so I should really get my behind in gear and knit up the matinee sets and blankets that they have asked for. They won't be getting them till christmas tho - santa is providing many many hand made stocking fillers this year if I can get motivated!

Hi there new to these message boards so forgive me if im posting something someone has already done. Im a knitter knewbie and crochet things more but these sites are good for both parties. :T
ravelry.com has loads of patterns also lionbrandyarn.com has some really cool free patterns too.
threadbanger.com has some excellent projects and most of them are young and fresh with video tutorials which i find i get on better than reading a pattern.
crochet-mania.blogspot.com/ she is awesome and does only crochet but absolutely fab if you are a beginner.
Hope these help?!

I thought worsted was between aran and double knit?
Basically, check the tension and go up or down a needle size as required...0 -

well done mz_grim, how are things in Australia, I guess you are all feeling the pinch too? I like the funky colours!
I got another delivery from Kemps this morning as Dd decided she liked what I bought the other day so much that I had better get some more - so she went halves with me. I think it was 16 quid well spent as I have enough wool for 6 baby cardi's, 6 pairs of socks, crop cardi for Dd and some really nice vintage looking yarn to go in a long cardi (with some I already had) for me. :T:TClearing the junk to travel light

I treated myself to a new pattern today. It's the first time I've bought a pattern for wool I already have at home without buying the wool and wondering if I've got a pattern at home I can make with it :rotfl:Did owe £9,951.96
