'Morning everyone, well that is me definitely finished knitting baby clothes with probably around 3 weeks till first grandchild due. It was such a novelty knitting baby clothes clothes again but roll on 5 months and I have had enough of baby knitting.

I will now start a Sirdar Crofter cardigan for myself in shades of rose and cream. I knitted a lilac one last winter and the shetland style pattern was really effective. This wool I bought half price in a local wool shop.

I have two days annual leave and yesterday spent the whole day sewing fitted cot/pram/travel cot and crib sheets. Today I am making a patchwork quilt for the travel cot that I am keeping in my house for times when baby visits.

    Have a good day !!!

Ooooooh I see that coming in here was a BAD IDEA...This is how I landed with half a ton of purple fun fur in the first place ! from Kemps LOL ! Crofter is nice soft colours isnt it lovely? All the grandkids have tons of scarves & slippers, but I do like the idea of a furry cushion, thanks !

Haha, must admit I looked at Kemps after reading that post but I did not buy anything - although I was really tempted so might go back for another look. Should really use up more of the stash first - ohhhh Purpleteddybear you are naughty for putting ideas in my head.

Plumduff55, I`ll bet you`re getting excited about your new grandchild. My newest grandson is 3 months old already and stays with me, (and his mum of course) baby stuff all over the place. Lovely.

I wondered how many people would have a quick shufty at Kemps after that post :T I would think I had died and gone to heaven if I found wool at 8p !!!!! I have some of that eyelash wool from the pound shop and started a clutch bag with it for DD going to line it with some bright satin as its black, then crochet a flower for the front in vivid pink.
