  • Thanks lynseydee! I`ve now finally managed to make one shoe! Yeahy! I normally knit toys which people have said are harder than making baby shoes but I found the toys much easier.

hi I am knitting a lovely pattern from the magazine Lets Knit. I have really enjoyed knitting with the yarn(Sublime Soya Cotton double knitting was recommended, however it worked out expensive so have been using king cole bamboo cotton) It looks so well. I also knit a lovely hat from the magazine a cute cotton beanie for Spring as well. It has turned out so lovely and will give it as a gift for my daughter. The stitch detail shows up so well and has a lovely feel to it. I have also subscribed to the mag for 3 months and received a lovely free gift of a pattern and 3 big balls of yarn which I could knit up as another gift for someone, so I am very pleased with it all. I really enjoy knitting so much and have it on the go every night if able to. It's so relaxing and there are so many great tips on here from all you wonderful people. Margaret:)

    Hi Redballoon

I haven't forgotton you, it's just I didn't go down the shop on Saturday and didn't think about it after hubby had left for the day. I asked him if he would mind taking it with him today but in the mad rush for getting reading for work this morning I completely forgot. I will make sure I put the magazine in a prominent place for tomorrow morning and get him to scan it for me when he's down the shop tomorrow evening if you don't mind waiting till then :o

Just joined this site, I not only hate sewing up I also abandon projects when I get fed up with them. Last week I was tidying my study when I came across a cardigan that I don't remember from about 5 years ago!

I'm knitting the bumble bee tea cosy from here:-

    http://www.valeriandesigns.co.uk/improvers.html

I don't really like knitting tiny items as they never come out looking as nice as they should and to over complicate things I have to knit stripes. Is there a tidy way of knitting the stripes as I don't know if there is a better way over another and don't have much experience knitting with more than one wool at a time.
