Hi all, does anyone have a copy of the lets knit magazine august 2009? My friend knitted me a cardigan from this edition, (found it by looking on ravelry) its called Tansey, but its too big for me! I really like it so i was going to unravel it and redo it in a smaller size.
If anyone has the edition, could they let me know??

    Thanks!!

I have it. I will try and post the pattern details later.

If I can work out how to use the scanner I'll try e-mailing that way.

    Hi

I am new to knitting but I am sure that I have seen a pattern on her for hand warmers/fingerless gloves but I just can't find it anywhere. Please could someone point me in the right direction.

    Thanks

I have just tried to see if I can work out the scanner but it is one of these 3 in 1 jobbies that does everything so if you can wait until Saturday I can get my hubby to scan it for me and then I can e-mail it to you. Like you say may be easier than copy typing.

  • Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me out with a pattern I`m struggling with... its for a pair of baby shoes and I`m fine till I get to this part

"Work 3 rows inc 1 st at toe edge in 1st and foll 2nd row AT SAME TIME dec 1st at heel edge in 1st and follow alt row" ( This part of the pattern begins and ends with 19st on the needle)

I`m struggling as I like to have patterns which are listed in rows telling me exactly what to do.

    Can anyone put this into
    1st row.......
    2nd row......
    3rd row.......

    for me please?

    Then...

"Work 3 rows dec 1st at toe edge in 1st and foll 2nd row AT SAME TIME inc 1st at heel edge in 2nd row.

    1st row....
    2nd row....
    3rd row....

    Then

"work 4 rows dec 1st at toe edge in 2nd and every foll alt row AT SAME TIME inc 1st at heel edge in 1st row"

    1st row.....
    2nd row....
    3rd row....
    4th row.....

Any help would be much appreciated as I`m driving myself mad here....!

I'm not an expert and unless I'm doing it myself I have to really think about it but I think it would go like this:-

1st row - inc 1 st at toe edge and dec 1 st at heel edge
2nd row - inc 1 st at toe edge
3rd row - dec 1 st at heel edge

1st row - dec 1 st at toe edge
2nd row - dec 1 st at toe edge and inc 1 st at heel edge
3rd row - not sure if you've not mentioned this row or whether this would be knitted as a normal row

1st row - inc 1 st at heel edge
2nd row - dec 1 st at toe edge
3rd row - again as above
4th row - dec 1 st at toe edge

I hope that makes sense and I've understood your pattern correctly.
