lynseydee I'm trying to resist. I have decided I'm not buying anymore wool until I've finished with what I've got just now. (we'll see how long that lasts )
jennyjelly NOOOO another wool shop!! What are you going to make with all your new purchases?
LizD How's your pattern coming on?
Yay! I've just started my last glove. Can't wait to get it finished and start my next project
Well the Blur is going to be the cover cardi from the Dec 09 Simply Knitting mag - the pattern uses Kidsilk Aura and the Blur is the same length to weight and same kind of yarn so hopefully it will work. I'll knit a tension square first to be on the safe side. The sock wools is for socks - I've just made my first successful one and am so smitten with it I have to make more. The Misty is the one in the lovely deep claret colour and I haven't quite decided what to do with it yet, but as it would go beautifully in the living room it will probably end up as cushions or a throw (like I need any more!)
So potentially I've got a cardigan, 2 pairs of socks and a throw and/or a couple of cushions for my money. I'm well chuffed with that. :TOh dear, here we go again.0 -
I'm doing this one at the moment:

That's really lovely Liz - I particularly like the version with buttons. What yarn are you using?Oh dear, here we go again.0 -
At the risk of sounding like a Kemps rep, the Patons Misty on the 'bag a bargain' page is the one I've just bought from Kemps for 59p. That doesn't include postage though.Oh dear, here we go again.0

I have decided I need to buy wool for projects I want to knit and not decide what to knit with wool I've decided to buy :T Hopefully that way round I won't end up with more wool than I know what to do with although I'm always a sucker for a potential bargain :rotfl:Did owe £9,951.96

Good decision. Nothing to do with the fact that it allows you to buy more wool of course ....;)Oh dear, here we go again.0 -

Well there is that but I still need to find projects to use up the wool I bought from the last "bargain". I find the patterns I already have I like the pattern but the tension is wrong and if the tension is right I don't like the pattern.
I'm still trying to work out what I'm going to do with about 15 balls of baby yarn that I didn't realise was baby yarn until I bought itDid owe £9,951.96

Use 2 strands together maybe?
Or failing that what about doing something for the 'knit a square to give your share' thread?

Might have to look at the knit your share thread or I thought I could do a nice big blanket to cuddle up under on the sofa but it's that snuggly bubbly wool and it's not so nice to knit with.Did owe £9,951.96

Lynsey, have a look at this post, it will give you loads of ideas and options if you decide to use your spare wool for charity.
