    I've picked up the needles again for the first time since ds was a baby (he's 7 now) to knit him some cosy jumpers-it's just about impossible to buy proper "warm" jumpers ready made. I've just got the sleeves to do on this one, then I'm moving on to chunky wool for speed!

    amandada I love your Harry Potter jumper. I wish I knew someone young enough to knit it for. I don't think my 18 and 23 year old nephews would appreciate it - pity :D

    Wrk 13 rows in St st.
    Wrk 17 rows in Twisted Rib.
    Wrk even in St st for 45 rows.
    Armhole shaping:
    BO 4 sts at beg of each of the next 2 rows.
    K2tog at the beg of next 2 rows.
    K2tog at the beg of every other row for the next 4 rows. - I am here, if i was to k2tog on row 1 and 3 then it would all be on the same edge? i dont think that is correct, any suggestions?:confused:

    Wrk even in St st for 23 rows.
    K one row.
    BO all sts.

    redballon - You're right that makes no sense. I agree with you it would all be on the one edge. I would either k2tog at the beginning of the next 4 rows or k2tog at the beginning and end of every other row for the next 4 rows.

    I was wondering if any of you peeps could help me. I would like to knit some things for charity but I have 3 problems - 2 cats and OH that smokes. Can anyone suggest any charity that I can knit for where this wouldn't be a problem? I could probably get OH to give me have a smoke free zone but the cats get everywhere :o

    hey guys, need some help, i really want to start knitting and im trying to be as money saving and self sufficient as i can this year but i cant knit. Wheres the best place to start, should i buy a book or magazine first? ive got some needles i picked up from a charity shop

    Maybe you could knit blankets for an animal shelter, they probably wouldn't mind a bit of hair?
