Ooh I like that. Very nice.0 -

:rotfl:I know what you mean. Brilliant buy though. I love making things that I know only I will have especially when the wool is a bargain.:j0 -
I have decided I need to buy wool for projects I want to knit and not decide what to knit with wool I've decided to buy :T Hopefully that way round I won't end up with more wool than I know what to do with although I'm always a sucker for a potential bargain :rotfl:
Yep with you there... I need to use up what I have before I buy anymore or I'm gonna need to turn my flat into a wool shop.. (and I bought wool about 3 (maybe 4) years ago to knit my future MIL a shawl and it's still only partly finishedI get distracted far too easily.

Well there is that but I still need to find projects to use up the wool I bought from the last "bargain". I find the patterns I already have I like the pattern but the tension is wrong and if the tension is right I don't like the pattern.
I'm still trying to work out what I'm going to do with about 15 balls of baby yarn that I didn't realise was baby yarn until I bought it
Done that tooI bought white baby wool and ended up making myself a really pretty summer cardigan out of it. I was brilliant on holiday nights when I was slightly sunburnt because it was sooo soft.
(I should really have multi-quoted instead of making loads of posts - got excited!!)0 -
Just thought you'd like to know that the jumper I'm knitting for my DS is progressing nicely - the wool I got from Kemps is lovely, and I'm so pleased with it. I'm still on the back as yet - it needs to be 34 cm and I'm on 32 cm so almost there and then just have the front, sleeves, neck to do so could be a while yet . Of course it wasn't helped because DD accidentally dropped 3 stitches which I couldn't pick up (bit of a novice here
) so I had to unrip it all and start again
Never mind, slow and steady wins the race. I've already got some nice cream aran wool with flecks of different colour in to do a cardigan for DD :j - it was a bargain as only £3.99 for 400g from Shaws.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

I've got the Orient in Oxide for that one. Unusual colour, but I doubt anyone else will have the same jumper as me!
Funny one to knit with - knits as DK, but it's more like 2 or 3 ply to look at.0 -
I've finished ds's Weasley jumper and I'm now halfway through this http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=2222&cps=21191 in a gorgeous shade of red for him.
Can I just add that I HATE knitting sleeves! It always takes much longer than I think it should!0 -
Amandada - when I need to do sleeves, I knit them together using separate balls of wool on the same needles. That way they always match because each row is the same, and it always feels quicker than doing them one at a time!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:
Squares: 11, Animal blankets: 20 -
Hi everyone, don't post very much but read daily - just thought I'd tell you my news - I'M GOING TO BE A GRAN !!! so I am looking out all my old baby patterns.
I have NEVER knitted with 4 ply before as my first children were twins and knitting with dk was much quicker, but decided as I am only knitting for one I shall persevere with 4 ply. Since my 3 children became too old to be seen in my hand knitsI have knitted more jumpers for myself than I would ever need.
Last year I became "obsessed" with knitting lacy, scalloped edge scarves. At first these were very complicated but after knitting more than 20, I could knit them with my eyes shut. Absolutely everyone got a scarf for xmas !
Anyway, now I am so excited to start knitting baby clothes again. baby due beginning of August so plenty time to get started, I may even knit a shawl !!!Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)
