This is one of my favourites; but not easy, I made this but used 2 hooks on the front to fasten instead of the tie, as I don’t need any more lumpy bits on my front l-o-l
It’s in sizes Chest: 33[37, 40, 44, 48, 51, 55]

Another fave this is what it looks like, as there’s no pic on the pdf, you’d have to enlarge it to see it properly though

I don’t watch coronation st so I’m not sure exactly what you’re looking for but you could have a look at these & they might be useful as a basis for what you want

You could knit a basic knitted tube of around 4" diameter and whatever length you need to cover your door. I'd do it on a short circular needle
Making one from material would be much easier though!
Have a look here;

re;'would any of these patterns knit up well with chenille wool, i still have a stash from when poundland were selling them at a pound a go'
All you need to do if you want to use different wool...
is to pick your pattern ...
knit up a tension square & see if your wool makes up to the right size
If not you can change your needle size or alter the number of stitches

i had some value dk wool in my stash and was looking for suitable pattern when i came across this and have fell in love with it. somehow doubt it would look as good in my cheap wool and was wondering if anyone knew of an alternative wool that would knit up just as well at a reasonable price?

Homealone, I think it looks as it needs to be in a silky cotton type of yarn.
I used to have some Mulberry Silkit was DK and it was a lovely summery silky yarn.
I think you would need to go by feel, have you read the reviews on the pattern or maybe asked for yarn ideas in the reviews?
How much is the yarn it's done in?Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Hi there Le-y, welcome to the thread! I don't post here often, tend to lurk more, but I didn't want you to think you hadn't been noticed!
Enjoy your knitting, lots of time to prepare for your new arrival!
