Here's a link to the Denise needle kit which should give you an idea of what's possible. The great thing about these circulars is that the cords and needles are interchangeable unlike the normal circulars you get over here. So you can put a pair of 7mm needle ends on any length cord - meaning you can knit the whole garment with only one or two pairs of needle ends (smaller ends for the ribs), using a longer cord for the body and shorter cords for the sleeves and neck.
The link should help, even if my explanation leaves you thinking "eh?"Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

Aw go on, go on, go on, go on, go on (in the tone of Mrs Doyle from Father Ted) you know you want to Mardatha
. I increased my stash today by 17 balls of Patons Inca plus one pattern book for women's designs and an odd ball of black Stylecraft chunky - all for less than £18 . This last addition is to use up some Wendy Fusion left over from a cardi that I'm going to utilise in a hat pattern from Ravelry
.
I really love the Denise circulars as the cord lengths go up to 52" so you can get a large size sweater complete with sleeves on with room to spare. I think I remember reading on here that double pointed needles would still be needed to knit the sleeve ribs but this isn't the case - I managed to find out how to do this on Youtube and if I can ever find the video again I will post the link .Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. My best friend is having a baby in May and after reading these posts, you have encouraged me to get my needles out, after many years in the loft!!
Its gonna be tricky cos
1) She is a young mum and would probably only like clothes from Next lol
2) My late foster mum used to sew the garments together for me but she's not here anymore and I will stuggle..
Anyway, I need to do something cos I am fed up on a night.... be back in the near future for help, and hopefully a pic of the finished article!!! xHe who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.
If you really cant knit very well, then practise drumming with the needles...

The pages at the back show you how to cast on/off and various stitches, so good for beginners.
Happy Knitting!:j0 -

Tia Maria - a lot of young Mums I know love the vintage look and really traditional stuff. It's all about the yarns you use and the colours. If you use a cheapo yarn in apricot shade then maybe it won't be appreciated!
Just go gently on your sewing up. Nothing looks worse than it being too tight. Enjoy your knitting!0
