In case anyone's interested, Jean Greenhowe has got a new free pattern on her website for Mini Christmas StockingsSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0

Thanks for the link to the mini Christmas stockings pattern. I used to have a similar pattern (now lost) from a magazine. I made them with a loop so they could be hung on a Christmas tree and, each filled with a fun-sized chocolate bar, they sold well at the school Christmas bazaar.
I like the Rainbow Babies too!0 -
Thank you for these details - I take it that you cast on the length of the scarf which ends up being 12 rows wide, with the beads in the row next to the cast off row?
And as you are not knitting in the round, do you need two circular needles?
I am considering doing this for my next project; at the moment I am knitting a hooded sweater for my niece using "Rainbow Knitting Yarn" (a lookey likey hairy ribbon yarn) from the local pound shop, an acrylic double knit used double for the bands and a Sirdar pattern designed for Snowflake chunky.
Hi yes, you cast on the length.
Sorry for the confusion about the needles, I am only using one circular, but using it as straights...does that make sense
When Miss Twit gets home, I will ask her to scan the instructions for me and then I can either PM it or email it to you and anyone else that wants it.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

Hello fellow knitters!
I am just curious as to whether you tend to have more than one project on the go, or always finish one thing before moving on to another?
I'm knitting myself a cardigan, but am getting bored so might do some socks or gloves for Christmas presents in between pieces of cardigan!0 -

Hi Fozz, I get bored too so I always tend to have a few things on the go... at the moment I'm in the middle of a cardi for me, a soft toy for DS to be and waiting on some wool from Ebay to start on Christmas presents0 -
Hi Fozz, yes I get bored with one thing and tend to move on to something new...usually when I'm at a tricky bit on the first thing.
I was on a knitting site the other day. and they were doing a poll of UFO's.....Un Finished Objects. It seems like there are plenty of those about.
But, I am determined to finish Miss Twit's scarf before I start anything else, although my next project is already lined up...a knitted, felted bag.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0
