I think that Feng Shui is helping our finances...am I nuts?

Avoid long hours in front of the computer. Take frequent breaks, buy a screen that filters radiation and have a plant on your desk. Peace lilies are especially good. And if you have a new age bent, a faceted amethyst crystal placed between the keyboard and screen is meant to do wonders for your energy levels.
And if you think this all sounds a bit goofy, you’re wrong. Even scientists at NASA have tested some of these principles and found that they work.
“It’s very exciting when Science catches up with Feng Shui,” Betty says.[/font]
Which still isn't a direct reference to a specific URL within the NASA site that has the research paper on it.

feng shui nearly messed up my finances the other night.. i was flicking through the TV and noticed QVC was doing a feng shui hour.. so started watching and got tempted a bit by some the stuff..... then these gorgeous dragon eggs come on and i dived to the comp to order them.. but ive got MSE as my homepage! So i stopped and thought "do i have £17 spare to order them? do i need them?" and the answer was NO! So MSE helped my finances that feng shui almost messed up!

I looked all over the place for a money plant but couldnt find one. However when i visited The Eden Project when i went on holiday to Cornwall i saw one that only cost a couple of quid so i grabbed it. It survived the journey back on my lap and i put it in the south east corner of my kitchen and it is growing - however, i have yet to come into money. In fact last week despite needing to save even harder, MrJudi blew £500 on a part respray on the car, and i blew £500 on a puppy and spent £200 on her bits and peices. I dont think its working very well for me.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Woweee, you are making that plant work hard!
I think that it needs to be bigger to cope with the strain that you've put in under. I'd go back to the Eden Project to see if they have one 6 ft tall that might be strong enough to cope0 -
My hubby always thought that feng shui etc was a load of mumbo jumbo but allowed me to clutter up our office with a money plant and bamboo.
Anyway, we are struggling to get a new business off the ground and money is very tight. As a result we had to resort to putting some of our products on ebay. The problem being that we have to sell them for less than we like on there.
Anyway, we put them on a 10 day "buy it now" which 8 people were watching for reasons best known to themselves
On Sunday I made hubby rub my buddha's belly. Within half an hour someone had bought one of our displays. He rubbed it again and someone else bought one. He was gob smacked :j
Not enough for us to make a living yet but it's a start!0 -

Judi wrote:Mine has doubled in size in a month. However, i have only watered it twice since i bought it. I think with this plant less is more where water is concerened.
that's cause the poor thing is trying desperatly to keep up with yours and MrJudi's spending power, it knows it needs help and is bringing in it's support!!!!

Bizarre little thing happened this morning.. i split up with my ex a few months ago and he owed me £150 with amounted for money id lent him over the 6 months we were together and hed always be "paying me back next month" . I havent heard from him or been able to contact him for about 2 nearly 3 months?! Id completely given up on getting my money back and was writing it off as a "lesson to learn"
Anyway this morning i was a lil worried about my finances due to a few health issues meaning im not at work.. i came downstairs as usual and rubbed my buddhas belly and greeted him with a good morning.. this morning though i spoke a bit to him. Just simply said "oh buddha please help me today.. i really need a little help with my money im so worried"... this was about 9/10am.... i dont know what made me do it but i text an old contact number i had for a member of my exes family asking him to contact me.. i thought id hear nothing because me and his family dont see eye to eye at all .... but to my surprise my ex text me back! He said he didnt get paid till later in the month but had £30 he could give me and arranged to come and give me it... about 6 months at least ive been waiting for this and numerous times hes arranged to get it to me but never has. Well today he did. He was at my door by 1pm and handed me the money and gave me his new mobile number (so i can contact him direct) and a promise to get me the rest by the end of the month. Im so shocked and happy! Over 6 months - infact MORE ive been trying to get this money back and my ex had dissapearred and everyone told me to give up on getting it back but one little rub of my buddhas belly and a tiny request for help...... I really love my little buddha!0
