Is the red wall by a cooker - think it may be bad to over energise the kitchen - money going up in smoke.

Try painting it a pale pastel -, clean and neutral colour.

  • I am a qualified Feng Shui Practitioner, I have studied at the Feng Shui Academy.
There is a lot of conflicting advice on this thread, but that is because FS is full of ancient traditions, many of them contradictory.
I would be happy to answer general questions, but many cures are all relative to you and your home and your personal circumstances.

    Great!

Hi Gabby, I'm the originator of this jumble of information.

Is there anything that you can add to the thread that will be good generally for anyone to follow? I take your point about so many factors are relative to the situation.
  • Hi Gabby! Will think of some thought and Q's for you. :)

YES elona its the wall behind the hob.

I think I might be painting it back to 'bleached ivory' - that should be neutral enough. I hope.

PS Hi Gabby, Welcome to the thread. I'm looking forward to your input.

  • The wall behind my cooker is deep red too - I think I might get the paint out!
  • Just out of interest - can anyone tell me whether moving a spikey plant (Aloe vera) onto the coffee table in the middle of my lounge would have any undesireable effects (in a feng shui way)?
  • I don't think red behind a cooker is necessarily bad, it depends on what area of the house your kitchen is in. Red can be great for increasing passion, energy and stimulating fame and recogntion in life, just depends where you use it.
Best general feng shui tip I can give is clear out your clutter, anything not useful or loved must go (this includes people!)

spiky plants are not good feng shui (can lead to arguments) much better to have plants with soft rounded leaves.
