Bury a pound coin in the soil of your money plant and tie a red ribbon around it.(the plant,I mean)
    "This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
    Preemie hats - 2.
  • OK, I'll have to try and buy a red ribbon tomorrow.

Yes, really...you make think that I (and Donald Trump and Richard Branson) are nuts but I would like some opinions on this.

Blah blah blah... blah... erm... blah!
So what do you think - is this all coincidence? - I'll tell you what I think - that plant is staying put.
    Yep!

I forgot to tell you... "Nutty as a fruit cake!"

In the nicest possible way - of course :)

So tell me... HOW... did my financial situation shrink in sometimes catstrophic ways while my money plant flourished... and now, at last, that I have everything under control and stable does the blooming thing die in its tracks and collapse from a slendid thing whose main growth area was larger than a basketball to a single stem from the only leaf to survive the catastrophe?

    The rest is gone! Vanished!

    Dear Disgruntled,

I fear that you may have lost your plant, the poor thing worked itself to near death trying to get your finances on to a better footing and is exhausted. Now that you are financialy recovered, it's task, thankfully, is done.

I think that the only thing to do is to bury it with honour in a special place in your garden, visit it frequently and hold it in the regard that a true and loyal friend should be held.

    Yours sincerely,

    Miss Fruitcake

PS did you water it too much in your desire to make it work?

    Dear Miss Fruitcake,

I took care not to water it too much, honest :) Oh well, maybe it will recover. It's a nice house plant to have.

    Regards and all that stuff,

    Mr NotQuiteSoDisgruntledThisMorning

maybe i should move mine tothe SE corner of the house, as opposed to having it in the SE corner of the room which is an entirely different place?

congrats on your good fortune though!! glad to hear people are doing well.
  • Help! don't know what is going on, but about 10 leaves on my Jade plant is falling out, the plant seems pretty healthy and woth the leaves that drop off. I dont think I do overwater it ( just once every fortnight plus baby bio ).
Is this normal? as my other two different plants dont do this.
  • I read somewhere that plant is a succulent and only needs water every 4 weeks
If I screw my eyes up tight I can just about see where you're coming from
