I think that Feng Shui is helping our finances...am I nuts?

I went to meditation classes a couple of years ago - taught by Buddhists. They also explained the principles and teachings of Buddhism and most of it is just sensible - have love and respect for the world and everything in it and then good things will come to you. My teacher - a beautiful young man - taught us that Buddhism can just be a way of living not just a religion, and to take from it what we wanted. So if you find part of it that feels right, go with it."Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye" - Miss Piggy0

I bought a money tree on Monday.
So far this week I have received a letter from Tax Credit people saying that i do not have to pay back an overpayment of £450+ from 2 years ago that I didn't even realise I had been overpaid. Sold loads on Amazon £70+ and now this afternoon boss rang me (I'm on holiday) and looks like I'm getting a change of job role which will mean a lovely pay rise :j :T :j :T
Just a coincidence ??
DFD could be moving nearer.

hmmm must say i'm a little confussed, i bought 2 money plants today and read through this thread to check where my wealth area is and the general consensus is the far left corner of the room as you enter (apparently south east) however when you take the room as you come in the door and plot it like a map north being in the centre of the back wall the corner that is suggested would be north western corner, thats where i'm confussed so i looed around google for money plant wealth area and came across this website and it shows you a pic of a money plant/tree, it's very different from the ones suggested in this thread, i think we may have the info a little wrong?

That calls itself "lucky bamboo" - the one we are all on about is also called a jade plant and is a type of cactus - not bamboo."This site is addictive!"

I'm pagan, and a lot of the general pagan belief systems I have come across are very much pick-n-mix. You pick and choose which bits you want, and even tailor the gods you want on your altar etc to suit yourself.
Having read this thread I went out and got Lillian Too's book on feng shui, some interesting tips. I got a beautiful set of coins tied in red cord from my local oriental store and would you credit it..........
The day I bought it (and every day after) my shop takings have been brilliant! Really saved the day, as we couldn't have gone on much longer at the level we were taking.
I also have a lucky piggin, and the same happened the day he arrived from a won auction on ebay. Talk about saving the bacon...........
I have to admit, something in me says - well, you now have a focus/ affirmation that you wish for a better cashflow - maybe it's me being extra nice to my customers, or that I am finally seeing fruits of hard graft put in over the poor summer. Still, if it works, it works!0 -

Yep, I'm confused with this too - there seems to be 2 schools of thought on this, some Feng Shui books suggest that you map out the room with a compass and use the south-east area as your wealth corner. Other Feng Shui books suggest that you follow the bagua grid which puts your wealth area as you described in your post. Luckily in my room the same area is shown in both systems so I've never had to decide which I'm going to go with. It looks like it's your choice
I have to emphasise that I still don't 'know' about this subject, I have just got hold of a couple of books, that's all.
The plant is maybe what the Americans use as a money plant, looks like both will do!0 -
just found a pic that helps me, thought i'd add it for any late comers who fancy shui-ing up their home lol

Yip so far with my money tree ( lovely planet) AND elonas spell. I have bought a telly and dvd for 49p from Argos ! LOL.
Actually sold a lot of my stuff on ebay at a good price, got a small phone bill in ( yipee). I actaully did buy a telly from argos, i ordered the cheapest 20" they had and they mistakingily gave me a 21" super telly worth £30 more by accident !
I have not been too good at decluttering but if I had to mention one thing that i think did work it was elonas money spell ( sorry i know everone will pm you again ).But this i thought did funnily, weirdily enough work. The money tree - well i dont know about it really. I put my lottery tickets in it ever week and no results so far, But heck it is rather sweet !0 -

Bury a pound coin in the soil of the money plant and tie a red ribbon around it.
All the good luck seems to be elsewhere- all I am getting is bills for repair work!
Mind you - I have been so busy posting that I have not done the money spell myself for a while.
I did rub the buddha's tummy though!"This site is addictive!"
