I think that Feng Shui is helping our finances...am I nuts?

I've been perusing this thread for a while and bought a couple of money plants a few weeks ago.
I've been meaning to get a Buddha for a while and as I was in Chinatown today, I popped into one of the shops and bought one. I was a bit spoilt for choice and couldn't remember which one was the prosperity Buddha, so I picked one in gold and red holding two balls over his head. At the checkout I saw that they had a different Buddha (holding a dish with a ball over his head with one hand and clutching a bottle(?) in his other hand. This was obviously the "house" Buddha as he was surrounded by coins and sitting in a fountain. I nearly changed mine for one similar, but decided against it and bought three Chinese coins which were on display as well.
Now the good bit!
Walking out of the shop, a ten pound note was blown towards me on the street outside!
How's that for a quick result? What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -

I've only read bits and pieces of this thread so far but have decided I will make time to got through it in earnest now as things are getting a bit silly lately ... one large bill after another and my resources are shrinking rapidly. Sorry this is a bit long but I would like some help please if anyone knows.Anyway, I've had a money tree for sometime now, but am not the best when it comes to keeping house plants. It was doing great, but I had to move it as it was too big for the window sill and it almost shrivelled up. I felt so sorry for it that I decided to give it a bit of a boost. (And a word of warning here too if anyone was thinking of doing the same?!!) Please don't laugh, but I gave it phostrogen! I think I must have the worlds only weeping money tree!! It sprouted so fast that the stems weren't strong enough to stand up - oops! Some of the extended stems fell off and recently, I took others off to try and help the plant to bush out once more. These are now in pots in what is as close to SW corner of my living room and in the kitchen as possible, but I'm confused. My kitchen is the most SW point in the house and the sink is directly beneath the window sill. Is this the right place for them or should I stick to the living room window sill? I don't want to encourage more money to disappear!May I have the money spell too please if it is still being offered?0

I feng shui`ed my living room during last year. It is on the first floor and has a stunning view over large trees and it is sunny, large and cosy. The room is all gardenia and the house was new. (I have done a 12 week course by the way)
The ambience was too peaceful ie no vitality at all so bit by bit it has been changed to get more movement and energy into the room.
In a nutshell, some spiky things giving upward movent. A thin vase in red, a thin tall pair of entwining ducks in grey with red beaks pointing upwards. A spiky, swirly silver coloured lamp in the centre, with several arms and pointy bulbs. Not too little and not too much but enough to make sure there is no stagnation, while keeping the peaceful ambience with large photos in gold frames of trees etc. This is the south side. The money plant is with the pc and printer etc on the north side. This room is energetic but I make sure there is good air flow and the door is always open
The feng shui balance is not yet finished in the house but this week I managed to give away a large dark brown dresser with lots of fancy bits and carvings. The thing holding me back was attachment to it. All of a sudden the Kitchen /diner is filled with light and the ambience has completely changed
We are not rich and we have never had inheritances etc but we are comfortable and money is never short. Doing the feng shui has most definitely helped the mental positive attitude, which is natural and not forced. This positive openness seems to allow money to enter our lives
What I am saying is don`t just dwell on a money tree but take the house as a whole and do one area at a time. Tkmaxx is brilliant for items to uplift or damp down by the way. Also learn to let-go of stuff. It took me a whole year for the dresser but I feel great after doing it0 -
Thanks for the reminder. I guess its sometimes too easy to get carried away by a part, and not see the whole.
Jade plants ARE fab tho!
