another small win on the euromillions this week £7.30! better than nothing0

Well, as yet my money tree is but a couple of leaves but my dad gave me a tenner on Saturday when I saw him (he forgets I am 23 now and he doesn't need to give me money for sweeties etc, bless - but he insisted!).
And I bought a top on sale that clearly said it had gone down to a tenner, and then it only came up as £7!
The best thing is all the clutter I have cleared, my mum thinks I have gone mad and wants to thank the author of the book. I haven't gone quite as strict as she suggested, but it has still made a big difference. I have to admit I was slightly ashamed of all the clutter before.
You lot, tsk, I had a blimmin' dream about money trees last night!!0 -
AND yesterday a cheque from Lambeth council dropped through the door, they had made a mistake and charged me too much for a service charge. This was arranged well before the money tree etc, but it is one thing the council admitting they owe you money, another when you actually get it!!0

In the 2 weeks I've had my money tree (inspired by this post
) I have received long awaited work expenses and previously unpaid holiday pay, neither of which were guaranteed. I've also applied for, and received a 0% credit card which in itself is a miracle as credit rating has been very poor in the past but which will now be used to transfer the balance from my old credit card and the 29% interest I currently pay! My husband has also received confirmation that his job has become permenant and is now entitled to a payrise too which takes effect immediately. We also found out yesterday that his MA course fees are about £600 less per year than we had budgeted for so we might just get that holiday next year after all!
I'm well aware that this run of good luck has more to do with our changing attitude to our finances rather than our new money tree but it's quite a nice little thing to have around the house anyway0 -
Great news Badgergal - especially with councils!!!! I know what you mean
and Ruby Pudding good news re works expenses!!! you deserve your holiday.
i've still to get my very very very overdue wage increase, not giving up hope though - must keep positive!0 -

after reeading this whole thread i went out and bought some of the feng shui coins that are meant to encourge wealth. I bought them on Wednesday. That night i won £10 on the lottery, on thursday i sold 3 items on ebay for a "reasonable" amount, (despite being listed before and not selling) and this morning i have received a very unexpected cheque in the post for £400!!! ( i had been expecting it to be for around £50) :T :T :T
Just thought i would share my excitement with you!! I think i will be holding onto the feng shui coins!!0 -
well done honey28!!!!

Do you think that it has had a touch too much water? if you touch the compost and a little sticks to your finger then it doesn't need any more water yet.0 -
I keep a note folded in a different part of my purse. You fold it in half lengthways, then bring the two sides to the middle, then fold the corners over to make a pyramid.
It's supposed to mean you'll never be short of money. I started off with £5, then £10 andthen a £20 note folded. In five years, I have never had to use that £20! When I'm down to my last pound, something seems to turn up! Don't ask me how it works, ity just does, try it!!!I Believe in saving money!!!:T
A Bargain is only a bargain if you need it!0
