  • well I'm not complaining, since our ickle plant moved in DH has made over £700 on ebay (the models he sold went for up to 50% more than they had been going for last month), sold one for £250 to a friend of a friend (they only get £180 on Ebay but he offered that and DH accepted) and Dh's new boss has decided to increase the nightout money he gets for work. Not a fortune but it means our holidays will be less strict on budget this year :D

    Where is my wealth corner?

Please concisely give me the best pointers for improving my wealth....avoiding the obvious stop spending all your money on frivolities strategy :-).

    Many thanks
    Karen
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.
  • Hi Karen - I can share with you all of my Feng Shui knowledge, it'll take about 3 lines or maybe even a whole paragragh, all of it gleaned from a couple of library books.

You really need a compass but until you get one just note where you see the sun coming up and going down, it comes up in the east and down in the west. Work out from there which is the south east of your home (or room), that area is where you put your money tree and something red for luck and gold to symbolise money. If you have a note book where you write down your money affairs, bills etc, get hold of 3 chinese coins (there have been a few websites on this thread that sell things like this if you don't have a New Age shop nearby) - they have a hole in the centre and 4 chinese characters on one side and 2 on the other - tie them together with red ribbon with the 4 characters upmost and tape this to your money book.
As I say, I'm not an expert and this is all I have done to my house so far. Don't expect big cheques, just a few unexpected things that might either directly (lottery win?) or indirectly (promotion at work, or similar)come to you in the near future

    Hiya :)

I suspect there's a sudden and unexpected severe shortage of money plants right now.
    I can't think why :)

I'm sure friends or relatives would be only too happy to give you a leaf to get started with.

  • Just to say, after reading this thread, i did some reorganizing of the space where my money corner is. I dont have a money tree, but i do have a HUGE collection of Buddahs, most of which were resigned to cupboards when i had the house re-plastered. So, i moved my big (18") Buddah into the money corner and surrounded him with 6 or 7 little miniature ones. That was last Tuesday, and since then ive sold £28 of stuff on Amazon, got a 4 hour a week job cleaning the local nightclub (£20) and met an uncle in town who says he is giving me money to buy the kids new school uniforms!!
Fingers crossed now for my daughters DLA claim!

  • Okay I need a little help. I bought a mini happy buddah at Past Times this weekend so I can put him either a) in my money room or b) in the money corner of my lounge but I cant seem to work out where they are. To give you an idea, when I come into my house I am in the hall, to the left is the lounge with the kitchen at the end, to the right is bedroom one with the main beroom further down the ;hall on the right, straight ahead is the bathroom. In my lounge, when I walk in the window and outside wall is on he left, TV in front, almost, with L shaped sofa to the right. The kitchen diagonally right of the door. Anyone got any idea where the buddah should go or do I need a compass????

  • OMG...... just after posting my last post i decided i would play online bingo for half an hour. Went and made a cuppa and rubbed big Buddahs tummy for luck. Guess what....... i won £43!!!! Quitting while im ahead and have transferred all money into the bank!

Forget money plants, i reccomend everyone to go and get a buddah and place him in the north-west corner of the house (i also keep my change jar on a shelf under him.....dont know if that helps or not!)

  • Just to add....... im not in the habit of playing bingo online, it was a one-off after reading a post in the gambling board!
