I've just spent the morning cleaning our bedroom from top to bottom and have moved the bed back to where it used to be. We had moved it round a few months ago and had our heads pointing south which isn't supposed to be good for a decent night's sleep. ( I've not been sleeping well for a while, waking up at silly times) So I've moved it back so our heads are pointing west and am hoping for a better sleep tonight!

Thought it was worth a try.

Also found out that our bathroom is north east and it's the worst place arrgghhh. The book says to put some sea salt crystals into a white china dish and place in the corner to help with the chi and poor location.

Going to make some adjustments and see what happens....

Feels better now I've attacked the clutter and had the windows open while getting it clean in all the nooks and crannies.

    Good luck with it everyone.

Time for a well earned :coffee:

I bought the clutter book yesterday that was mentioned earlier in the thread (site is loading very slowly so I'm not even going to attempt to go through the thread to find out who mentioned it, lol)

I haven't had time to look at it yet though, but it must be working nonetheless as I've just spent the last 2 hours (give or take a tea break or two;)) filing paperwork and binning old catalogues etc.

Yes, it's always slow when the TIPS email goes out, lots of people tuning in! A hint...this is a Queenie tip. You can make the page you are viewing much longer if you go to User CP (on the beige strip above) then click on edit options, you scroll down and see the box where you can change how many posts you read on each page, the most is 40 so that cuts down the amount of changing pages that you have to do to read a whole thread through

Thanks a_t, but my settings are already changed, the thread is only 3 pages long but each page takes ages to appear. :)

Am I the only one (apart from John) who thinks this is, to be blunt, a load of cobblers?

There's probably a great deal to be said for laying out a room for peaceful harmony, as in no clashing colours, a scheme that's easy on the eye... I know for sure that I feel a whole lot better in myself when I've had a long overdue tidy up and all the clutter and rubbish has gone from a room. I realise, when I think back, that without really knowing why, I felt unhappy and unable to settle in a room.

My upstairs has long since been decorated and sorted and the downstairs (until it recently turned into a building site) was cluttered and long overdue decorating etc and I always felt happier upstairs than down. Now I can see my downstairs all coming together, even though it's really early days, and it just feels great! :)

As for the rest of it... whatever rows your boat. :)
