P & O Ferry Offer

This looks like a cracking offer, just a shame that it is a car only one as otherwise I could take it up. Ah well0

What to buy when you get there:

Ah mrweeble, If you get the Sun or The Mail then they've got specials on there for foot passenger day trips and if you bought the same case of wine onboard then it would probably work out the same price as the car and upto 9 deal anyway.
I don't think it's obvious who I work for!0 -
I just booked for half term, and at first it came up as £70, so I clicked earlier time and then later time and it came up as £10. Same applied for the return journey.
Thanks for the info. My son is happy now.
Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.0 -
Norfolk Line have a good offer at present as well, valid for any duration, car +5 for £14 each way (thats £28 return for an extended stay!) selected sailings until 31st December provided you book before 29th February.
They also do fully transferable multi trip passes for £22 per sailing - good if you have property abroad or travel on business.0 -
How do you find the cheap £14 fares - I need to go sometime over the weekend this week but can't find anything this cheap on Norfolkline0
-
Seems to be only the night time fares, I found some in mid March but decided I'd rather pay £25 each way for a day time sailing!
Incidentally the multi-trip passes are not available on-line only by phone (0870 1642 112)0 -
You are right, boats. It is an absolute con. There is no justified reason why a crossing should be more costly if one stays away (say) two weeks instead of a day. The service provided is exactly the same.
They are all at it.0 -
In 2006 and again in 2007 while competing in charity banger rallies to the west coast of Africa, from England, the ferry companies would NOT allow us to use outbound halves only of cheap returns without incurring hefty penalties. We ended up using different companies. Each time there were 200 cars involved. Miserable bunch!!Roger0

It would probably be difficult to book this day trip on February 14th as it is Valentines day and P & O already have specially priced trips arranged for that day so it is unlikely this offer would apply for then.
This is a fantastic bargain especially for those living in the Dover area. The best price I have seen this wine is on the Tesco Wine club website where Gallo Californian Red is £21.38 for six bottles and the Gallo Californian White is £16.25. Although you only get one meal free which is in the cafe area a full breakfast or fish and chips has to be worth £3 or more anywhere. So therefore look at it this way, for £20 you get 6 bottles of wine, one meal a return ferry trip for 1 to 9 people plus a car and a day out day out in France. Wish I lived near Dover I would be hopping back and forth with this offer.
As I live up north I would be pleased to hear of any remarkable offers for the Hull Zebrugge, Rotterdam or Amsterdam ferries in the Mail or the Sun. Last year I picked up an offer of £48 for two persons on the overnight trip Hull to Amsterdam from the Mail so would be pleased to hear if anyone spots this again.0
